ASA delivers UN Women supported Sports-based Community Coherence, Gender Equality & Tolerance activities for Young Women & Men across Java, Indonesia!

Supported by UN Women, ASA recently developed a Training of Trainer (ToT) Master Training curriculum for addressing and preventing Violence against Women & Girls through sports development activities. The toolkit, which is geared towards local school teachers and community coaches, also covered gender equality, conflict resolution and tolerance education together with important life skills values before focusing on strong sports-based gender equality & life skills coaching implementation.

The curriculum was pilot tested as a series of ToT programming activities in Bogor (West Java) followed by Pamekasan and Malang (East Java) by reaching out to 93 male and female teachers who will now deliver the modules to over 15,600 boys and girls in the target areas!
