In collaboration with long-term strategic project partner US Embassy, ASA recently closed off the 6-month, schools based Empowering Youth through Sports project at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh Cambodia. With the US Embassy Ambassador, William Heidt together with Phnom Penh Crown F.C. professional players in attendance, ASA showcased the Sports-based Life Skills, Health & Women Empowerment education programming activities with the target group of 100 male and female school students.
Over the past 6 months, ASA Master Trainers have been empowering the 100 male and female school youth by educating them on important life skills, gender equality and women empowerment values together with health and nutrition information through soccer and volleyball activities at the National Olympic Stadium on a weekly basis. The youth stakeholders were also regularly monitored and evaluated by ASA through classroom theory testing procedures and practical assessments before being subjected to video-based interviews in order to gauge programming feedback.
