Supported by the Indonesian Government departments of MENPORA, DISPORA & BLISPI, ASA and Starbucks Indonesia recently launched a new and exciting, nationwide STARCOACH Indonesia project which empowers a total of 400 male and female local school teachers and community coaches together with Starbucks staff who ultimately implement the grass-roots, sports-based education programming activities to more than 10,000 vulnerable male and female youth living in 10 cities across Indonesia.
Led by ASA Master Trainers, the intensive STARCOACH Training of Trainer (ToT) Master Training program specifically focuses on the local school teachers, community coaches and Starbucks staff by building their capacity to deliver Sports-based (Soccer & Basketball) Life Skills, Health and Women Empowerment education to vulnerable male and female youth in their respective schools and communities. With an exceptional Starbucks staff engagement methodology, the 6 month, nationwide ToT project will be held in 10 cities across Indonesia: Jabodetabek, Bali, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Makassar, Balikpapan and Pekanbaru.
Supported by Indonesia media CNN, Jakarta Post and Kompas, STARCOACH Indonesia was officially launched on the 15th April at Global Jaya School, Bintaro, Tangerang, with 100 vulnerable male and female youth actively participating in the sports-based education showcase activities led by 40 STARCOACH stakeholders.
Supported by Starbucks staff trainer stakeholders on a weekly basis, the school teacher and community coach stakeholders will be responsible for delivering the STARCOACH program to their respective male and female youth beneficiaries in schools and communities on a long-term, sustainable basis with ASA conducting weekly Monitoring & Evaluation activities across the programming areas.
A massive thanks to Starbucks Indonesia for all their help and support!
