ASA implements UNHCR & CWS supported Futsal-based Life Skills & Health Training of Trainer project for refugees and local ‎community coaches in Jakarta, Indonesia

ASA recently conducted a UNHCR & CWS supported Futsal-based Life Skills & Health Training of Trainer (ToT) Master Training project for 25 x Afghan, Somalian and Ethiopian male refugees together with local ‎community coaches in Jakarta‎.

The intensive 3 day ToT Master Training project empowered the 17-19 year old refugee and local community coach stakeholders by building their capacity to deliver Life Skills and Health information through professional Futsal coaching development activities which would lead to improved  behavior changes in their respective refugee shelters and local communities.

Facilitated, monitored and evaluated by ASA Master Trainers, the Youth Step Down Training (YSDT) activities have just kicked off with the 25 x trainer stakeholders responsible for leading the trainings by educating and thus empowering 90 x youth refugees from 3 shelters through the Futsal based education program. ASA will continuously monitor and evaluate the trainings over the 8 week period.

Please note, due to UNHCR rules and regulations, footage of the program is prohibited.
